A double bass graduation

DOUBLE...your bass...
DOUBLE your fun!

This week I was asked to sculpt a double bass cake
for a graduate from music school. As an instrumental
major she loves her instrument...I hope she loved her
cake a little too!!

The process begins, and the cake begins to
take shape...

I got to experiment with hand painting for this
project....

The happy painter...

Strings made of floral wire....supports of
rice cereal treats covered in fondant-the body
of the cake was vanilla butter cake and
chocolate buttercream filling.

Here she is...in all of her glory.
I hope you think she is pretty...

Here comes the bride..dun...dun..da.dun

Today I delivered a wedding cake and a
grooms cake for a lovely bride and groom.
The bride loved the bows on this cake design.
The three tiers were vanilla cake with
raspberry buttercream and raspberry filling
along with lemon cake with lemon curd and
vanilla buttercream. The groom requested
"chocolate". I hope he loved his very chocolate
cake with chocolate buttercream and chocolate
ganash.

The bride has always loved her mother's china
pattern. I incorporated a floral pattern from the
china into the piping on this cake.

The happy caker with her creations!
I pray the bride and groom were truely
blessed! Congratulations!
